The oxygen (O2) sensor monitors the level of oxygen in the exhaust so the ECM can adjust the air/fuel mixture to reduce emissions. BWD sensors undergo 100% testing, ensuring better quality, increased confidence, and improved performance. Also, BWD sensors are thermally conditioned, burning off any contaminants to prolong unit life and performance.
Some of the features that set BWD apart are:
- A stainless steel shell that reduces rusting and provides greater dependability is used.
- The center ceramic element is composed of Zirconium Oxide, Alumina and Yttrium Oxide.
- Vapor deposition process is used to apply the platinum coating which ensures an even application.
- A Spinel coating on the outer platinum layer prevents solid particles in the exhaust gas from damaging the platinum coating.
